Your Body Has a Blueprint and Ayurveda Calls it DOSHA.

One of the biggest mistakes in wellness is assuming one protocol should work for everyone…

In Ayurveda, this is explained through your dosha - your mind–body constitution.

There are three primary doshas. Most people are a blend, but usually one leads.

Understanding this is super helpful.

I’m a Vata–Pitta constitution.

That means my nervous system is sensitive and intuitive (Vata), with intensity and drive layered on top (Pitta). When my health crashed (Lyme, post-viral illness, neurological symptoms) it wasn’t because my body was broken. It was because I was pushing a body that needed grounding.

Tai Chi, Qigong, breath, warmth, rhythm, and safety weren’t “extra.”
They were medicine.

But here’s the key:
What healed me won’t heal everyone.

Vata (air + ether) types tend to be sensitive, creative, intuitive, and fast-moving.
When imbalanced, they struggle with anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, poor sleep, digestion issues, fatigue, and feeling ungrounded.
Vata doesn’t heal through force - it heals through stability, warmth, and nervous system safety.

Pitta (fire + water) types are driven, sharp, disciplined, and natural leaders.
When imbalanced, inflammation, autoimmunity, gut and skin issues, irritability, and burnout are common.
Pitta often tries to out-discipline illness, but heals best through cooling, pacing, compassion, and knowing when to stop.

Kapha (earth + water) types are grounded, steady, nurturing, and resilient.
When imbalanced, weight gain, sluggish digestion, congestion, depression, and feeling stuck can show up.
Kapha doesn’t heal through rest alone - it needs movement, stimulation, circulation, and purpose.

Your body isn’t failing you.
It’s responding exactly as it was designed to.

If you’ve been doing “everything right” and still don’t feel well,
it might not be your effort.

It might be a mismatch between how you’re wired and how you’re trying to heal.

Healing isn’t about doing more.

It’s about doing what’s correct for you.
